Lakers Owner Jeanie Buss’ New Fiancé Is Getting Blasted Over Several Problematic N-Word Tweets

In case you missed it, Los Angeles Lakers majority owner Jeanie Buss revealed that she is now engaged to comedian Jay Mohr. Yes, that Jay Mohr.

The 61 year-old Lakers president and the 52 year-old comedian confirmed to TMZ Sports, “the couple of several years recently took their relationship to the next level after the comedian got on one knee and proposed.”

Reactions to the engagement were a mixture of happiness for the couple and shock that by marrying Jeanie Buss, Jay Mohr is thisclose to running the Lakers now.

“Ain’t no way Phil Jackson in the circle of trust now,” another fan tweeted.

We’re told Buss and Mohr — who bonded over sports and comedy — are ecstatic about how their love has developed over time … and they’re excited to spend the rest of their lives together.

The clues were there — Jeanie has been spotted wearing a ring on that finger recently … and sources close to the couple confirmed they are, in fact, engaged. We broke the story — Jeanie and Jay started “quietly” dating back in 2017 … and the two frequently attended Laker games together.

Once those feelings wore off, the internet went about doing what it does and started digging into Jay Mohr’s social media past. What they found was more than enough to set off a round of outrage.

Many fans couldn’t believe Joy Mohr’s liberal use of the N-word and saying other offensive race-related things in some of his past tweets.

This will be the third marriage for Jay Mohr. He was most recently married to actress Nikki Cox from 2006 to 2018.

Jeanie Buss was previously married from 1990 to 1993 and most recently had a seven year relationship with former Lakers and Bulls coach Phil Jackson.
