The New York Jets offense was rolling on all cylinders on Sunday as quarterback Mike White came through for the team. Additionally, after weeks of voicing frustration with the organization, wide receiver Elijah Moore finally scored a touchdown. His teammates celebrated the score with him in the locker room, but it may have been a dig at Zach Wilson.
According to Mike Garafolo, while Moore was meeting with the media, his teammates started yelling things like, “free that man!” “Free E!” and “E’s Free!”

The Jets wide receiver voiced his frustrations about Zach Wilson earlier in the season. It got to the point where he asked for a trade, but the franchise never honored his request. At the time, many saw Elijah Moore as a diva football player. However, with his teammates showing their support for him in this way, they very well could have been throwing shade at Wilson.
If that’s the case, then it’s going to be incredibly difficult for Zach Wilson to regain support from his teammates. On top of that, the Jets’ offense looked much more fluid with a different quarterback under center. Either way, the fans sure seem to think Wilson’s time in New York is finished.

The fact the Jets are saying “Free E!” after just two catches is a bit bizarre. We have to agree.
Dude had 2 catches 😂

Maybe they threw some shade at Wilson, maybe they didn’t. Regardless, it’s hard to ignore the drama that’s transpired in the locker room. On top of that, it’s not a great look for Wilson when his teammates revert back to Elijah Moore’s comments when celebrating the win.
Look for the Jets to maintain momentum as they take on the Minnesota Vikings next.
