Saddled with quarterback and conspiracy theorist Aaron Rodgers for another season, the New York Jets are likely to do whatever it takes to give Rodgers the offensive weapons he needs to compete (if his Achilles can hold up beyond four plays).

One ESPN reporter, in fact, has predicted that Gang Green will target Odell Beckham Jr. following his lone season in Baltimore, as he only signed a 1-year deal with the team last offseason.

“What Rodgers wants, Rodgers gets. And he wants more playmakers,” Aaron Schatz wrote in a recent ESPN piece predicting the moves teams will make during the offseason. “So the Jets will bring in receiver Odell Beckham Jr. in free agency after his contract with the Ravens automatically voids.”

After missing the entirety of the 2022 season due to an ACL injury, Beckham had a decent season during his first year in Baltimore as he caught 35 passes for 565 yards and three touchdowns.

In addition to Schatz’s prediction about Beckham, there has also been speculation that the Jets will try to acquire Rodgers’ old partner-in-crime Davante Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders.

Hopefully, the players that the Jets sign to make Rodgers happy this year are far better than the ones they brought in last year, as the likes of Allen Lazard, Randall Cobb, and Tim Boyle were all virtually useless, at least as far as winning football is concerned.

There was also the hiring of offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, who led the offense to a bottom-three finish and was not able to remotely overcome to Week 1 injury to Rodgers.
