New York Jets Bully Rival Fan Into 900-Mile Walk After Cowardly Response To Pregame Wager

The New York Jets beat the Tennessee Titans in Week 1 of the NFL season on Sunday. For one dejected Titans fan, that will result in a lengthy walk the distance from Nashville to East Rutherford.

An online account made a pregame wager prior to kickoff. It gained massive traction on social media after the Jets‘ victory.

The user promised to walk from Nissan Stadium to MetLife Stadium if the Titans lost. When it came to fruition, the user then tried to back out of the agreement.

The Jets’ social media team bullied the Titans fan into honoring the pledge.

On August 23rd, about three weeks prior to the season opener, the X account @BallinFFB set the terms of the wager. Fast forward to Sunday, and they watched the Titans get manhandled at home by the Jets.

The game was not close. New York never trailed despite entering as a slight underdog. The Jets built a 10-3 lead by halftime before taking the game over in the second half.

By the fourth quarter, the result was in hand. New York led 20-3. Tennessee had nothing going. This Titans fan saw the writing on the wall.

The pregame wager resurfaced while the Titans floundered. This was the initial response.

We’ve seen how refusals to honor commitments have impacted sports teams in the past. Florida State is still reeling from a broken promise.

In 2024, coming off an undefeated regular season, an FSU fan vowed to eat poop if the ‘Noles lost to Boston College.

When it happened, he deleted social media and hid from criticism. Since, the Seminoles are 8-16.

The Titans may avoid a similar curse. After being bullied by the Jets, it appears the fan will make the trek in some form.

New York reposted the initial wager with a caption that read, “Get steppin'” after the win. It posted an accompanying photo showing the near 900-mile walk from Nissan Stadium to MetLife Stadium.

After boatloads of backlash, the fan changed their tune. It appears the walk is on in some capacity, though it may not come in the form of an actual trek from Tennessee to New Jersey.

The fan did pledge to make a charitable donation with a Titans loss to the Jets. He or she has vowed to keep that promise and may tie it into the 900-mile walk in some fashion.

Details of the exact journey haven’t yet been revealed. What we do know at this point in time is that the Titans fan plans to walk 900 miles after being bullied by the New York Jets.
