Jimbo Fisher Made It Very Clear That He Has Money When He Pulled Up To SEC Coaches Meeting

Every year, SEC football coaches gather for a meeting of minds. The ‘SEC coaches meeting’ is held annually after National Signing Day and allows for the head coaches across the conference to discuss a myriad of different topics.

The meetings are designed to discuss current issues, consider conference and national policy changes, provide input to the NCAA and develop overall strategy for the Conference. This year’s meeting was held in Birmingham, where the SEC is headquartered, on Tuesday.

When the different coaches arrived, 12 of the 14 went through the front door. Lane Kiffin, who probably would prefer to keep a low profile, was one of them. Bryan Harsin, who is in the middle of an internal investigation at Auburn, was the other.

He showed up in a blacked-out SUV.

Of those who went in the front door, Kirby Smart stayed humble and arrived in a mini van.

Brian Kelly also arrived in a fairly modest sedan.

Not Jimbo Fisher.

He wanted to make it very clear that he has money and pulled up behind Smart in an Audi. As he was walking into the meeting, Fisher went with the classic fake phone call move to avoid any interaction— because of course he did.

Despite every effort to be the flashiest arrival in the SEC, Fisher stood in the shadow of the G.O.A.T.

Maybe next year, Fisher can show up to the meeting in a McLaren. You know, just to remind everyone that he and his program have money.
