To say Zach Wilson is feeling some heat now is an understatement.

Wilson faced harsh criticism from Jets hall of fame quarterback, Joe Namath, during a recent radio interview.

Namath’s comments came after the Jets’ 15-10 loss to the Patriots on Sunday, a game in which Wilson’s performance left much to be desired.

Namath expressed his disappointment in Wilson’s play, particularly highlighting the moment when Wilson basically sacked himself without getting touched.

“You sit down? You sit down on a play? You go right down? What happened?” Namath said. “I thought you’re trying to win and make plays. You quit on a play? What is going on? It’s disgusting.”

The legendary Jets passer didn’t mince words when it came to his assessment of the rookie QB, stating unequivocally, “I wouldn’t keep him. I’ve seen enough of Zach Wilson.”

A pretty large part of the Jets fan base apparently agrees with Namath’s comments, according to social media.

Namath also shot some criticism towards the coaching staff and management, suggesting that head coach Robert Saleh and general manager Joe Douglas were not making the right decisions.

“These guys aren’t picking the right players. They aren’t doing a good job of coaching. It’s evident,” Namath stated. “They need to make major changes, from top to bottom.”

Earlier today, Saleh indicated that Wilson would continue to be the starter, and will play the Chiefs on Week 4.

The Jets haven’t confirmed anything about adding a new quarterback to compete with Wilson and are currently sitting at 1-2 record with little hope of ending their losing streak vs KC.
