FOX Sports analyst Joel Klatt had high praise for Caleb Williams ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft. The college football personality named him the BEST quarterback prospect since 2012!

That timeline includes names like Patrick Mahomes, Trevor Lawrence, Joe Burrow, and CJ Stroud. In Klatt’s eyes, Caleb Williams tops them all!

Williams has been at the top of draft boards ever since winning the Heisman trophy in his sophomore season at USC. The gunslinger threw for 8,170 yards as a Trojan while posting a ridiculous 72/10 touchdown to interception ratio.

He can make every throw, shows incredible pocket presence, and has the ability to create with his feet in the face of pressure.

While not everyone is ready to crown him as the class’s top passer, the general consensus is that he’ll be taken with the No. 1 pick by the Chicago Bears come April.

Joel Klatt might be Caleb Williams’ biggest fan.

He posted his thoughts on how the QB stacks up to past passers as a draft prospect.

It’s an interesting list considering two of his top five passers come from the ’24 cycle, with the other being North Carolina’s Drake Maye. Left off his top 5? Players like Patrick Mahomes, CJ Stroud, and Deshaun Watson.

Klatt would go on to clarify his list further for those that questioned his rankings – emphasis on the “prospect” specification!

“I know that reading is hard, however, ‘AS PROSPECTS’ is the entire premise of the exercise!! I’m well aware that there are many QBs in the NFL that we would evaluate differently after we have seen their success at the next level.”

Caleb Williams is viewed by most to be a can’t-miss player, headlining a fantastic group of quarterbacks in the 2024 draft class. We’ll see if he proves Klatt right after being selected.
