Finishing Miocic before the championship rounds would be mightily impressive. Especially considering how he’s considered the heavyweight GOAT.
Jon Jones is clearly interested in making this fight happen. Luckily for fight fans, it sounds like Stipe Miocic is ready for it too.
According to MMA Junkie, the former champ is ready to take on Jones, with a potential fight date set in July.
Here is what Miocic had to say about Jones becoming the heavyweight champion. “Good for him. Hey, he won. I’ll see him in July. They’re all big boys at heavyweight. Not that much to say. It is what it is.”
This might be one of the most highly anticipated heavyweight matchups in UFC history. It sure sounds like it’s going to happen. And it’ll be interesting to see if Jon Jones can follow through on his call-out.
On the other hand, Stipe Miocic has the knockout power to beat anybody. So this is a fight for the ages. GOAT Vs. GOAT. Sign me up!
