Throughout his career, Jon Jones has been the master of his own demise. In 2015, the 29-year-old was involved in a hit-and-run accident that culminated with his title being stripped away. The two-time former Light Heavyweight Champion has also admitted to getting blacked out drunk before the week before every fight so he had an excuse if he lost.
Jones, who claims he’s 16 months sober, was set to rematch Daniel Cormier in the main event of the July 9 supercard in Las Vegas before making yet another blunder. That was until Jones’ agent Malki Kawa told him in his Vgeas hotel room told three days before the fight that he had failed an out-of-competition USADA test and would be pulled from the fight. He was also hit with a one-year suspension backdated to July for his violation.
The culprit: an off-brand dick pill, says Jones.
“The only thing I did was I took a pill that I thought was going to give me a boner,” he said. “And it caused me a lot of heartache and a lot of disappointment and it just threw me back a year.”
Jones sat down with Joe Rogan in a candid conversation about the purpose for taking an off-brand Cialis and how the decision derailed his career.
Rogan asks Jones why a guy like him needs a dick pill, to which Jones replies “I have a huge cock, Joe.” He then eloquently describes taking the male enhancement substance as “it puts the twist at the end of a punch.”
