Two time UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones is, depending on who you ask, arguably the greatest fighter in mixed martial arts history. (If you ask him, he is.)

So he is not a man to be trifled with, something one suspected burglar found out over recently as Jones shared video on social media of himself chasing a robber with a shotgun.

The video, taken at night by Jones’ home security camera, shows a man skulking around the driveway, peeking inside the cars parked there.

Jones apparently saw him and surprised the potential burglar by opening the garage door. When the man attempted to flee, Jones sprinted after him with a shotgun.

After the two disappear from the camera’s feed, Jones explained what happened, “Ended up tapping on this guys driver side window with the muzzle of my shotgun last night. Next time you try to rob someone, make sure you’re fast enough to out run them. He’s lucky I’m smart enough to not shoot a man while he’s retreating. People I know times are getting hard but your life isn’t worth a few material possessions. What are your thoughts on this video, what would you have done differently?”

Jones, 26-1 (1 NC), last fought at UFC 247 on February 8, 2020, a five round unanimous decision over Dominick Reyes. He vacated the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship on August 17, 2020, claiming he plans to move up to heavyweight.
