Micah Parsons chose violence against Josh Dobbs and the Cardinals. He did not deliever.

It was Arizona’s quarterback who got the last laugh. Not the Cowboys defensive end.

Parsons, arguably the best defensive player in the NFL right now, forces opposing offenses to focus much of its blocking efforts on him and him alone. Dallas was triple-teaming their 6-foot-3, 250-pound do-it-all linebacker and edge rusher during practice to get him ready for what he might face.

Practice, in this instance, did not make perfect. Parsons recorded five total tackles and a sack on Sunday, which is a strong outing, but his impact was not quite as profound as usual in the 12-point loss to Arizona as expected.

It certainly did not live up to the hype that Parsons built for himself in the days leading up to the game.

Although Parsons said that the Cowboys should not overlook the Cardinals on his podcast, The Edge with Micah Parsons, he took direct aim at their quarterback.

The lion is ready to hunt. I got a new prey on my mind.

It’s Josh Dobbs.

I’m putting him on a bulletin board. I’m throwing darts at him.

I’m locked in. I’m focused. We coming.

That was not quite how things played out on the field. He was held in check, at least to some extent. And Dallas lost.

Dobbs turned right back around and used Parsons’ own words against him. The 28-year-old quarterback posted a video to TikTok in which he was dodging the darts that were supposedly being thrown at him by the Cowboys edge rusher.

Got heem! A+ troll from Dobbs.

Dallas and Arizona will not play again during the regular season this year, so Dobbs is safe. He doesn’t have to worry about his video making it personal for Parsons later in the season.
