Juan Soto might be the biggest loser from the San Diego Padres game against the Baltimore Orioles as he took a shot in the crotch during the team’s tough loss.
It looked incredibly painful, however, the Orioles announcer Kevin Brown called the play to perfection.
Brown of course is the announcer who was suspended for simply doing his job. He’s back in the booth now and it appears he didn’t miss a step.
In the bottom of the seventh, Juan Soto was up to bat. Orioles pitcher Grayson Rodriguez threw one a little inside. The Padres star got a piece of it but that’s when things went south.
The ball bounced in the dirt and shot right back up towards Soto’s crotch. He doubled over in pain and took some time to get his bearings. Watch the clip for yourself as the Orioles announcer calls Juan Soto’s mishap perfectly.

That hurt me just watching. No wonder Kevin Brown only wanted one shot of the replay.
Luckily, Soto wasn’t seriously hurt, as he eventually gathered himself and got back in the batters box.
Hey, it happens to the best of us. I’m sure Padres fans were a bit panicked at first after watching Soto fall to the ground like that.
But clearly he’s as tough as nails as he continued his at-bat regardless of the pain.
Also, can we take a minute and just appreciate Kevin Brown’s work in the booth? It’s kind of crazy he was suspended in the first place. Baseball is certainly more fun to watch with him calling games.
Orioles fans have it good right now.
