Justin Thomas was in contention at the 2024 Masters Tournament heading into his final stretch of holes on Friday. He sat at at even par, six shots back of the leaders, with just four holes left in his round.

What happened down the stretch can only be described as a complete implosion. Now, Justin Thomas is going to miss out on the weekend.

Thomas played the last four holes in an astounding +7, an epic collapse that he won’t soon forget.  The cut finished at +6.

Yeah, that is an ugly scorecard. Yes, conditions were absolutely brutal at the end of the round for the late wave of players on Friday at The Masters The course average for the day was a 75 (+3).

But, that’s just a disastrous finish for a player that’s simply too good to have a stretch of holes like that.

Incredibly, he only took one penalty stroke, a ball hit in Rae’s Creek on hole 15, in the 23 strokes it took him to get through those four holes.

This comes on the heels of Justin Thomas parting ways with legendary caddie Bones Mackay. Mackay served as the caddie for Phil Mickelson from 1992-2017, and was with Thomas from the fall of September until last week.

As the tweet said, Thomas has been downright terrible in majors since he won his second PGA Championship in 2022. He’s down to 28th in the world, and is well out of form.
