Kevin Durant Responds To DM Telling Him He Ruined The League, Sparks Long Conversation

“Wolves don’t lose sleep over the opinions of sheep” is not a mantra Kevin Durant subscribes to. The former MVP and two-time NBA champion has taken a lot of heat for bailing on an electric OKC team to join Golden State, a move that has been endlessly scrutinized by NBA fans and former players alike.

NBA legend Clyde Frazier said he’d give Kevin Durant an asterisk on a list of all-time great players for joining a juggernaut. But responding to Clyde isn’t atop the list of Durant’s priorities, as KD is more concerned with the Twitter users with a few hundred followers who slide into his DMs when they’re bored in their parents’ basement.

An Instagram user posted his in-depth conversation with Durant in a series of tweets Tuesday after starting the conversation with: “KD, how do you sleep at nights knowing you ruined the league and your three rings mean nothing??? Must be tuff.”

Despite KD becoming a meme due to his inclination to respond to trolls, the dude simply cannot help himself. Check out the exchange below, posted by Twitter user Basilio Reyes:

Reyes provided proof that he was corresponding with the actual KD, rather than an imposter.

Never change, KD. Never change.

The anti-drug people gave him a $50 savings bond for his brave contribution to crime-fighting, and upon the bond’s maturity 10 years later, he used it to buy his very first bag of marijuana.
