Kevin Holland is trying to replace Ian Garry on the UFC 296 fight card, and he’s mocking Garry while doing it.

On Wednesday night, UFC CEO Dana White revealed that Garry would not be able to fight this Saturday against Vicente Luque after coming down with pneumonia.

Garry released a statement about his illness via MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani.

“I have pneumonia. They tried everything to help me. In the end, UFC doctor said there’s no chance I can fight. The UFC doctor made the call.

“This annoys me more than anyone. I want to fight. It’s my favorite thing to do.”

Not long after Garry’s statement, Holland mocked the Irish UFC fighter and his wife, who has been at the center of controversy after fans uncovered that she had written a book titled “How to be a WAG.”

Luque seems interested in fighting Holland on two days’ notice despite Holland saying he currently weighs 180 pounds, 10 pounds over the welterweight limit.

“So guys, I saw Kevin Holland wants to jump in and substitute for the fight Saturday night, and I want to tell you guys, I’m down, so Kevin, if you’re really down to come here, let’s do this…and I’m willing to do it at 180.”

It’s currently unclear if the fight between Holland and Luque will happen but it would be amazing if it went down.
