She invited rising 2025 recruit Isabella Hines to Baton Rouge over the weekend for an official visit. The four-star combo guard’s stock continues to rise as a commitment slowly inches closer. It’s not hard to see why!
Hines was in the Boot during the First Round of March Madness. LSU rolled out the red carpet and made sure to show her a good time. They even pulled out the national championship trophy for the photoshoot!
Mulkey really went all-out for Hines. The 61-year-old head coach joined the top-50 recruit for a TikTok video and even hit the Griddy!
There is a lot of humor in the timing of Hines’ video.
Mulkey was wearing the blue suit she wore on Friday so the TikTok was either filmed before or after a 10-point win over Rice that did not inspire praise. She was dancing with high schoolers as a rumor started to swirl about the exposé that warranted a scathing takedown prior to its release.
Nothing was going to keep her from Griddying all over the haters alongside a player who could end up taking over her backcourt. Recruiting never stops!
At the same time, Hines absolutely choose to play somewhere else. Misses happen and she could ultimately end up as one of them. That outcome would be rather rich in humor.
