Kirby Smart and the reigning national champion Georgia Bulldogs are currently preparing for the biggest game of their 2022 regular season.

The Dawgs are perfect thus far in defense of the national championship. They sit at 8-0 on the year. But it hasn’t always been easy and it hasn’t been enough to keep them ranked No. 1 in the nation.

Georgia fired a warning shot across the country with a 49-3 throttling of Oregon in Week 1. But things have been tougher since then, including a come-from-behind nailbiting win over Missouri Oct. 1.

Now comes Georgia’s toughest test. The Bulldogs will welcome top-ranked rival Tennessee, in the midst of an absolutely magical season, to Samford Stadium on Saturday. The Volunteers have the best offense in the nation, led by Heisman candidate QB Hendon Hooker, and come into the game full of confidence.

But the Bulldogs are national champs for a reason and once against boast one of the nation’s top defenses. Georgia allows just 10.5 points per game, which ranks second in the nation.

And if a video that’s purportedly from a practice earlier this week is any indication, Smart is doing everything he can to have his group ready to play.

Kirby Smart Tells Georgia DBs ‘Y’all Won’t Cover Sh*t’ In Supposed Leaked Practice Audio

Twitter user @stacheguyGBO posted a video on Friday that he claims is Friday a Georgia practice earlier this week. The video features a man that sounds like Smart absolutely berating his defensive backs, in particular star cornerback Kelee Ringo.

“Kelee, all this finger-pointing bullshit? That’s every other team in America. You know what they do?,” the voice says. “They say, ‘It’s his fault! It’s his fault! It’s his fault!’ Why do they get f—king layups? Because people don’t concentrate! We’re trying to simulate this sh*t like a game and y’all won’t cover sh*t! F-k!”

Tennessee fans took a ton of joy from the video. But UGA fans claim it’s nothing new for Smart and nothing to worry about.

For what it’s worth, Ringo is a potential first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. So it’s not surprising for Smart to hold him to a high standard. But the Dawgs will have to be fully prepared when Hooker and the high-powered Vols offense rolls into town on Saturday.
