Los Angeles Lakers Owner Jeanie Buss Reveals Online Abuse In Troubling Twitter DM

So far, the 2022-23 NBA season has been one to forget for the Los Angeles Lakers.

In fact, that’s been the case for the last three seasons for the Lakers after winning an NBA record-tying 17th championship in 2020.

Since that point, the Lakers have been eliminated in the first round of the playoffs. They’ve missed the playoffs altogether, and now they look set to possibly do so again.

LeBron James’ pursuit of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time scoring record is just about the only thing watchable about the Lakers this season.

James has since passed Jabbar. So now what?

The Lakers sit at 27-32 and just two spots out of last place in the Western Conference. They made a pair of sizable moves prior to the NBA trade deadline to try to get things headed in the right direction. But that’s no guarantee of success.

Now Lakers owner Jeanie Buss is showing her displeasure. Particularly, with a fan on Twitter who took the Lakers’ struggles a little bit too personally.

Twitter used @BronGotGame posted a screen shot of Buss unhappily replying to what appeared to be a complimentary message.

But Buss wasn’t about to be made to look like the bad guy. On the contrary, she came with receipts of a previous interaction where the user DM’d her an abusive message over the team’s struggles.

“I hope you know you’re the worst owner in sports if you don’t get a trade done before this season is unsalvageable,” the message read.

Now, all this considered that’s probably pretty mild. But there’s still no reason to go after Buss directly. Especially when it appears she does not follow the user back or understand why they can message her.

Thankfully, Buss appears to have some solid protection behind her.

The Iron Sheik will break that Twitter chump’s back old country way, make him humble.
