It’s been more than a decade since the Lakers were responsible for some very unconventional locker room drama after D’Angelo Russell shared a recording where Nick Young admitted to cheating on Iggy Azalea. The rapper broke off their engagement after the clip surfaced, and the man who found himself single as a result recently admitted he got revenge by siccing some people on his teammate’s brother.

Being a professional athlete comes with plenty of perks, and it’s not exactly a secret that guys who get paid millions of dollars a year to play a sport for a living tend to have plenty of options when it comes to finding women who are interested in them.

It’s also no secret that many of them have trouble resisting falling victim to temptation when they’re in a committed relationship. Tiger Woods, Kobe Bryant, and Oscar de la Hoya are just some of the many notable names who’ve found themselves at the center of a highly publicized infidelity scandal.

In 2016, Nick Young joined that list courtesy of D’Angelo Russell, and he has come clean about the route he took to get some payback after his teammate derailed his relationship with Iggy Azalea.

Nick Young sent his friends to rough up D’Angelo Russell’s brother over the Iggy Azalea cheating scandal

Young signed with the Lakers in 2013, and later that year, he started dating Iggy Azalea, the rapper who would shortly take the music world by storm  following the release of the smash-hit that was “Fancy.”

The couple announced their engagement in the summer of 2015, but things took a turn less than a year after Young proposed when D’Angelo Russell, who joined the Lakers two years after Swaggy P, recorded a video where the latter admitted to cheating on her with a 19-year-old.

That clip was purportedly recorded to be used in an ongoing prank war with Young, but Russell quickly learned it was no laughing matter after it was somehow leaked toward the end of March in 2016. Azalea ultimately called off the engagement and broke up with Young, and Russell became a pariah among his teammates for sparking the drama.

Young has made it pretty clear he’s never forgiven Russell for the breakup (which he certainly deserves some blame for considering the whole “cheating” thing), and the dislike seems to be mutual.

It also appears Russell’s brother ended up being a casualty of the beef, as Young recently revealed the route he decided to go in order to exact some revenge while chatting with Shannon Sharpe on Club Shay Shay

Young admitted to recruiting some goons to send a message, saying:

“While we were playing, a couple friends of mine had to get his brother in the family lounge.

I had to get some type of get-back. I had to. I had to get some type of retribution…I gotta feel like I did something.”

He added the Lakers were able to keep that development under wraps while noting the team was able to do the same to prevent the public from finding out certain players went to rehab in the offseason, althoughh he declined to name any names on that front.
