Excitement is building around the Houston Texans right now as the franchise hopes to bounce back from a rough few years.
With DeMeco Ryans as the new head coach, many are hopeful he can turn things around in Houston.
One player is already seeing major differences with Ryans leading the way, which is a great sign for the organization.
According to Nick Shook at NFL.com, Texans’ star left tackle Laremy Tunsil is loving what he’s seeing from his new head coach.
Tunsil praised Ryans, as he’s utterly impressed with what his new head coach brings to the table. Here’s what he had to say while visiting The Pat McAfee Show.
“It’s a whole new vibe, man. (Coach) DeMeco (Ryans) came in with that energy he brought from San Fran and just changed the whole vibe around the building, and that’s something that we needed, especially since these last past three years we’ve been in a rut. So DeMeco comes in the building, he brought some new coaches, we’ve got some new players. Man, it’s just a whole new vibe that’s in that building. It feels great to be there.”
It’s always a great sign when one of your best players praises the new head coach.
On top of that, Laremy Tunsil is right, as the Texans could benefit from some positive change.
The whole debacle with Deshaun Watson left a dark cloud over the organization. But with him gone, Houston can focus on building itself back on top of the AFC South.
Laremy Tunsil’s comments about DeMeco Ryans is just a cherry on top of the excitement building for the Texans.
With CJ Stroud leading the way as the new quarterback, expectations are high for this team to eventually become a playoff-caliber team once again.
Additionally, although Ryans is a new head coach, he brings plenty of experience to a young roster. If he can get the best out of his players the same way he did for the San Francisco 49ers, then the Texans’ future is bright.
