LaVar Ball, the meddling father of Lakers guard Lonzo Ball, called in to the Doug & Wolf radio show in Phoenix on Tuesday and he was not a happy man.

In case you somehow aren’t aware, rumors are swirling that Lonzo will be part of a monster package of players going to the New Orleans Pelicans for Anthony Davis.

This displeases LaVar. So as a result Ball decided to blast anyone and everyone associated with the Los Angeles Lakers including coach Luke Walton and LeBron James.

LaVar also said that Lonzo would refuse a trade to New Orleans (despite not having a no-trade clause) and that he wants his son to play for the Phoenix Suns because he believes they would open to also adding his other sons LiAngelo and LaMelo to their roster.

Check out some of the “highlights” (via For The Win)…

On whether he wants Lonzo to play for the Suns…

“Yes, I do. I gave the Lakers a first right of refusal. I said get all three of my boys, and you got championships. They think I’m just talking. Lonzo and Gelo and Melo had the best chemistry.”

On how he feels about the way the Lakers have handled Lonzo…

“The Lakers gave my boy that losing attitude. If you look at my boys, the one thing they do do is win … My boys don’t lose too much. When he got to the Lakers — Luke Walton was the worst coach ever for Lonzo because he had a losing mentality. They’ve been losing for three years. That’s how you develop losing.”

On what will happen if the Lakers trade Lonzo…

“Like I told them before, if you trade my son, it’ll be the worst thing you’ve ever done for your franchise. I guarantee it.”

On why Phoenix would be interested in having all three Ball boys…

“They might have a chance to get all three of my boys to win these championships. And understand what winning’s about. But I need all three of my boys on the court because that’s 60 percent of the team that’s into winning and not worrying about how much money you gonna make.”

On how no one would ever have heard of Kyle Kuzma without Lonzo…

“Lonzo makes everybody better. That’s what he’s always did all his life. You don’t even hear of Kuzma if Lonzo don’t make him in the Las Vegas Summer League.”

On reports that he’s afraid of LeBron James

“Afraid of LeBron?! I’m not afraid of Jesus! What are you talking about?”

I have to say, if I was the general manager of the Pelicans, I would require that Lonzo NOT be a part of any deal involving Anthony Davis. But hey, that’s just me.
