Remember back in August when LeBron James tweeted that he was going “back home” to Los Angeles and the internet lost its collective mind?

Yeah, well, that rumor’s got nothing on the latest set involving the Lakers, LeBron, Paul George and Russell Westbrook.

According to NBA insider Peter Vecsey (via Lakers Nation)…

“Accordingly, I’m publicly terminating the pandemic of speculation surrounding LeBron James’ playing plans past this season. For months, many in the media declared or composed presumption the Lakers would be the beneficiaries of his talents when he became a free agent July 1, 2018. I’m eradicating all conjecture and uncertainty! I’m comfortable now in stating unequivocally, LeBron will leave the Cavaliers a second time and join the Lakers, and return the team to LA Lore status.”

That’s a bold statement, Cotton. “…unequivocally, LeBron will leave the Cavaliers a second time and join the Lakers.”

Fueling more speculation, James and his wife also reportedly visited a private school in L.A. recently. (It is his “home” after all, right?)

As for George and Westbrook, the Lakers have already been found guilty of tampering with Paul George and ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne says that if Westbrook doesn’t sign his extension with OKC, the Lakers would be his most likely landing spot as well.

Then, as if that wasn’t enough proof for you, Ocho Cinco tweeted this today…

Well, that right there, seals the deal for me…

Heck, if James, George and Westbrook do end up joining Lonzo Ball in L.A. why not just go ahead make it complete and do this too?

As a Lakers fan I am pretty sure I couldn’t handle this much good news after seeing Kobe retire. Also, for anyone who plays NBA 2K, I call dibs on the Lakers in 2018.
