Leon Goretzka does not seem to appreciate his biggest super fan. The stalkerish supporter followed Team Germany all of the way to North Carolina to bombard his favorite soccer player with his infamous screech at the World Cup.
It is just as obnoxious and creepy as it is impressive.
This specific soccer fan has followed Goretzka throughout the last few years of his career. The German midfielder might’ve preferred that he stayed home.
Who is Leon Goretzka?
At 31 years old, Goretzka recently concluded his 14th year of professional soccer. He began his career with VfL Bochum in 2012, played 116 games for Schalke 04 from 2013-2018, and played 211 games for Bayern Munich over the last seven years.
Although his career was hindered by injuries, Goretzka scored 58 goals during that stretch. However, Bayern announced in January that he would not have his contract with the club extended. The fans gave him a rousing ovation.

Leon Goretzka is perhaps best known for his time with the German national team. A full international since 2014, he has won more than 50 caps with Nationalelf and scored 15 goals. He represented his country at the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup, the 2018 FIFA World Cup, UEFA Euro 2020 and 2022 FIFA World Cup, won a silver medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics and made the squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States.
Goretzka is going to start for Germany. We don’t yet know who will play next to him in central midfield but his spot in the lineup is set in stone. And there is a lot of pressure to perform. DFB has been disappointing in recent years.
“I don’t have the feeling that we are among the top favorites,” he said. “We have to be that honest.”
The Germans will have to rely on its veteran leaders if it is going to advance deep into the tournament. Goretzka is a big part of that.

Wherever Leon Goretzka goes, his biggest fan follows. Literally. It could be for a Bayern match or for a national team match. It could be in the airport, outside of the team hotel, or at the stadium.
There is this one man who always makes his presence known with a screeching yell. “GORRREEEEEETTTTZZZZKKAAAA!” You can hear him from a mile away. He is always here. He is always there. He’s everywhere.

This specific super fan even followed him across continents. He showed up to yell “GOOOORRREEEETTTZZZZKKAAA” at the tune-up match in Chicago over the weekend.

Goretzka would never admit his true feelings publicly but you can see it on his face and in his body language. This guy might be his biggest fan. He might also be a stalker. And now he is in the United States!
