Detroit fans are pumped about hosting a second straight NFL Playoff game this weekend, but they might not be thrilled with the cost of entry.

Lions-Bucs ticket prices have set a postseason record, with averages soaring over $1,000 a pop.

Anticipation is at a high in the Motor City with the Lions attempting to make a Super Bowl run. The franchise is searching for its first title since 1957, and this could offer its best opportunity.

Detroit won the NFC North for the first time in three decades this season, making its first playoff appearance since 2016.

After a 12-5 campaign, the Lions picked up an opening round win over former starting signal caller Matt Stafford and the Rams. Now, it’s onto the Bucs.

For those looking to attend in person, it will be costly.

The average ticket price is nearly $1,200, with TickPick listing the get-in price at around $675.

Football fans on social media were quick to comment, with everyone making the same joke.

“Hopefully their fans have been saving up in between playoff wins!”

“Lions fans have had plenty of time to save money for playoff football tickets.”

“It doesn’t matter what the prices are. Detroit fans have been waiting for this for a long, long time.”

“Respectfully, Lions fans had 30 years to save up for this moment.”

The Lions ended their home playoff game drought last weekend, passing the title of longest postseason host drought to the Dolphins. Now, they gear up for Round 2.

Despite the high ticket prices, we’ll likely see a packed house in a cozy Ford Field on Sunday. Attendees should be in for a pricey yet entertaining treat.
