Lions CJ Gardner-Johnson may have jinxed his own team.
In the second quarter of the game, Gardner-Johnson was seen waving goodbye to Niners fans on the sideline while the Lions were up 20-7.

Unfortunately for Gardner-Johnson, the Niners came back to win the game 34-31.
After the game, fans on social media made sure to mock Gardner-Johnson over his premature celebration.
“Cj Gardner-Johnson doing this in the second quarter just to be watching the Super Bowl from Cancun after blowing a 17 pt lead is hilarious lmao” said one fan
“Damn y’all remember when Cj Gardner-Johnson waved goodbye to the 49ers fans by the half 😂 that’s crazy. Karma really got him quick” commented another fan.
It doesn’t seem like CJ Gardner-Johnson will ever be able to live down his embarrassing jinx.
