L.A. Chargers Show Balls Of Steel, Beat The Chiefs On Last-Second Two-Point Conversion

Screengrab // FOX Sports

The Los Angeles Chargers had to go into a hostile Arrowhead Stadium tonight to take on (and beat) the Kansas City Chiefs to give themselves a chance to possibly win the AFC West. They didn’t just go in and win, they did so in the most thrilling fashion ever, scoring a touchdown with four seconds left, and then showing balls of steel by going for the two-point conversion for the win — and they got it.

Take a look at this gutsy ass call, guys.

There are wild ways to win — like how we saw the Miami Dolphins stun the New England Patriots this past Sunday on a “Miami Miracle” — and then there are drama-filled ones like this that are less about luck and more about taking risks. Pretty awesome to see.

Of course, because it was such a bold decision by Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn, the Internet reacted to the wild ending. Here are some things people were tweeting.

There have been some amazing finishes to games this season in the NFL, but this one may have taken the cake given all that was on the line within the division. The win clinches a playoff berth for the Los Angeles Chargers and, as mentioned, puts a little bit more pressure on the Chiefs to win out in order to stay in position for one of the top two seeds in the AFC playoff picture.
