In yet another exhibit of not everything you see on the internet is real, LPGA star Charley Hull sent a message to her fans warning them about “AI-generated stuff” that has been appearing online pretending to be her.
In a message posted on X on Friday, Charley Hull warned her followers that there is “AI-generated stuff going around pretending to be me, so don’t be fooled.” She also pointed out that she isn’t on TikTok “so if you’re following ‘me’ on there… you’re definitely not.”
She also shared her message in an Instagram Story. In it, Hull wrote, “There are people creating fake social media accounts pretending to be me, messaging people, asking for money and even telling people that they are ‘secretly dating’ me.
“THIS IS A SCAM. I DO NOT HAVE TIKTOK, TELEGRAM OR WHATSAPP.
“I only have Facebook, Twitter & Instagram as my official social media platforms,” she continued.
Charley Hull added that she will “NEVER privately message” anyone asking “for money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, or anything else.”
She also stated, “And just to make this even clearer: I HAVE A BOYFRIEND AND WE HAVE BEEN TOGETHER FOR OVER 3 YEARS.”
Similar scams involving golfers like Nelly Korda, Lexi Thompson, Danielle Kang, Michelle Wie West, Morgan Pressel, Hannah Gregg, Jennifer Kupcho, and Paige Spiranac have been around for years.

On a more positive note, Charley Hull seemed very excited to reveal a new look for the LPGA’s FM Championship at TPC Boston.
“Gone to the dark side,” she wrote on Instagram alongside photos showing off her new darker hair.
According to GolfWeek, Golf Channel reporter Karen Stupples said during the broadcast that because of her new hair color, Hull’s putting coach, Nick Soto, didn’t even recognize her and walked right past her. Hull ended up finishing in a tie for 18th during the event at 6-under-par.
