LPGA star Charley Hull posted a lengthy message to her many fans on Instagram on Wednesday. In it, she warns about fake club memberships and scammers pretending to be her online.

“️PLEASE READ. I mentioned this a few weeks ago but after an incident at a tournament recently, I feel the need to speak out again,” Hull wrote.

“I will never ask for money or gift cards in exchange for meet and greets or fan club membership. These clubs are fake and run by scammers. My team and I only use my official social media accounts, @charley.hull (Instagram) @hullcharley (X) at ALL times, there are no exceptions. I am not on TikTok.

“There are SO many fake accounts out there claiming to be me, if you are contacted them please please report. Let’s stick together so we can beat the scammers.”

“So you’re telling me we aren’t meeting on the 9th green at 9? I was gonna wear something nice,” one fan joked in response to Charley Hull’s message.

“So whose Geico bill have I been paying since March?” another wrote, obviously in jest.

“I best cancel that flight then and send my Viking costume back,” another fan commented, tongue in cheek. “Gutted.”

Fake social media accounts for popular female golfers are nothing new. Two years ago, Paige Spiranac blasted all of the fake social media accounts that pretend to be her. At the time, there were at least 70 fake Paige Spiranac accounts that come up in a search of Twitter (now X).

One thing about Charley Hull that her fans do know is real is the fact that she will be taking on popular YouTube and Instagram influencer Gabby Golf Girl in an upcoming round of golf. We just don’t know the date yet.

“Who are you most excited to see on the channel?” Gabby wrote on Instagram on Monday.
