LSU women’s basketball may have only just won their first national championship, but the Tigers are doing everything in their power, including adding a new $1.5 million locker room, to turn that one win into a dynasty.
Step one was signing legendary head coach Kim Mulkey, who had a .859 win pct. over 21 years at Baylor.
Then, after that resulted in the program’s first natty, they went out and got Hailey Van Lith, one of the top point guards in the nation.
And now they’ve unveiled a sparkling new locker room to replace their 51-year-old space in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center to help keep the party going.

The players on the LSU women’s basketball team were filmed getting their first look at the spacious new clubhouse on Tuesday.
They were more than a little impressed.

The locker room is named after Jerry and Roselyn Juneau, the two Tiger Athletic Foundation donors who privately funded the $1.5 million renovation.
According to NOLA.com, the Tigers’ new locker room has “fresh locker spaces, a refurbished film room, vanity desks and a sleek lounge space, complete with a large, spacious couch, a pair of purple, tiger-print love seats and a large painting by local artist Becky Fos.”
Back in April, following her fourth national championship victory, Kim Mulkey told the Rotary Club of Baton Rouge, “I’m not a visionary when it comes to thinking about a building. I just know we need to upgrade. We don’t need to put a coat of paint on it. It’s time to either completely renovate it or build one next to it and tear that one down.
“I have no insight on the plans. I’ve shared with the administration and all the coaches who do their jobs there on what they would like to see. But they know I’m talking about it. We’ve got to get this ball rolling.”
The ball is most definitely rolling now.
