LSU’s Angel Reese will not be attending any in-person classes this year.

Reese spoke with Teen Vogue earlier this week about her newfound fame after winning the national championship.

According to Reese, things have gotten so out of control that she has opted for online classes because being on campus is too much to handle now that she’s a celebrity.

The fame that accompanies all this fun, Reese says, has been an adjustment: “I don’t feel like I’m a celebrity, but I think a lot of people look at me as a celebrity now because of the impact I’ve had on not just women’s basketball, but sports in general, and Black women. Things have changed for me.”

Being on campus got to be a bit too much after the championship, so now she opts for online classes. That her life outside of basketball would become internet fodder was unexpected. “I didn’t think I was going to be on Shade Room every time I post something,” she adds with a laugh.

Reese isn’t the only famous LSU athlete to opt out of attending in-person classes.

Earlier this year, Dunne revealed that she was going to attend classes anymore due to safety reasons.

“There were some scares in the past, and I just want to be as careful as possible,” Dunne told Elle Magazine. “I don’t want people to know my daily schedule and where I am.
