As of right now (fingers crossed), MLB pitchers and catchers will start reporting on Wednesday, Feb. 17 with the first full-squad workouts taking place on Feb. 22. That, just like everything else in life these days, is, of course, subject to change.
Something else that is subject to change is the fortune of your favorite Major League Baseball team.
So, despite the fact that we can’t say with 100 percent certainty when pitchers and catchers for your favorite team will be reporting, statisical analysis website FanGraphs went ahead and released their annual projected postseason odds for the 2021 Major League Baseball season.
If you are a fan of the Orioles, Rockies, Rangers, Pirates, Tigers or Marlins … I’m very sorry.
However, if you root for the Yankees, Twins, Astros (ugh), Mets, Cardinals or Dodgers, then you have much to look forward to, at least according to FanGraphs’ win-loss projections.
The Dodgers and their ridiculous pitching staff are a mortal lock to make the playoffs with FanGraphs giving them a 96.7% chance of making the postseason.
The team with the next highest chance of making the MLB playoffs are, wait for it… the Yankees at 91.6%.
They are followed by the Padres at 92.9%, the Mets at 81.2%, the Astros at 71.4%, and the Braves at 67.8%.
Down at the bottom are the Orioles at 0.0% (yes, 0.0), the Rockies at 0.1%, the Pirates at 0.4%, the Marlins at 0.7%, and the Rangers at 0.8%.

The teams with the best chance to win the 2021 World Series, according to FanGraphs, are the Dodgers (20.2%), Yankees (18.4%), Padres (11.8%), Mets (10.1%), and Astros (6.6%).
