It Sure Sounds As If Matt Barnes Can’t Wait For The Day To Brawl With Derek Fisher Again

Good god, guys, this Matt Barnes-Derek Fisher beef is like the fucking never-ending story or something, because Barnes just tossed more gasoline on the fire—and Fish might want to watch his back.

Barnes—whose Memphis Grizzlies are set to face Fisher’s New York Knicks this weekend for the first time since the two got into a fight over Barnes’ ex-wife, Gloria Govan—had a few choice words about Fish, saying this to the New York Daily News when asked about their first encounter since the incident:

“I don’t talk to snakes… I never wish for another man’s downfall. I always knew the NBA would come down hard on me, so I wasn’t surprised… Cause I’m the bad guy.”

The words come after Barnes was suspended for two games by the NBA for, allegedly, driving 90 miles to Govan’s house to man up with Fisher and, eventually, socking him. The Grizzlies forward wasn’t too happy with how the Knicks head coach handled the situation, believing Fisher “snitched” on him.

And while the two former Lakers teammates will probably avoid one another during the game tomorrow, Barnes left Fisher with a threatening message, per the Daily News:

“I know I got to keep my mouth shut because then he’ll run and tell. So we’re focused on playing that team (the Knicks). And when I’m retired, him and I will cross paths again.”

Who knows when Matt Barnes will hang it up, but it sure as hell seems like we’re witnessing a live version of Making a Murderer right before our very eyes, so Fisher better watch out.
