Matt LaFleur was absolutely furious as he went into the locker room at halftime of Thursday’s NFL game between the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions. A missed pass interference penalty set him off.

Things only escalated from there after a bizarre, awkward collision with a security guard.

Wide receiver Christian Watson was open on the last drive of the second quarter. Jordan Love threw his way for what likely would have been a touchdown.

However, defensive back Cameron Sutton got tangled up with Watson. He appeared to drag him down. No flag was thrown.

Matt LaFleur didn’t understand why a penalty was not called and flipped out on the sideline. Green Bay kicked a field goal shortly thereafter and eventually went into the locker room up up 17.

LaFleur ran right into a security guard as he jogged off the field with his team. It was super strange.

The collision may have been an accident. The security guard may have tried to stop LaFleur on purpose.

Either way, the 44-year-old head coach was not happy. He turned back and stared daggers.

No further context has been provided about what happened. Greg Olsen and Kevin Burkhardt were on the call for Fox and they were equally as baffled by the encounter when it was shown to begin the second half.

Hopefully, if members of the media in Detroit are not trying to rush home for turkey, they will ask LaFleur and/or the team about what happened.

Should it be ruled an accident, the odd interaction is no big deal. Much ado about nothing.

Should it be determined that the security guard was trying to stop LaFleur from going to his own locker room, there are even more questions to be asked! Why did he try to stop LaFleur?
