Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons has weighed in on the cheap shot received by Travis Hunter over the weekend. He blasted the Colorado State player that knocked the young star out of the game.

The play has gone viral over the last few days as everyone around the football world gives their opinion of the hit.

The player that laid the brutal blow to Hunter was CSU defender Henry Blackburn. While he wasn’t ejected from the game, and he reportedly won’t receive punishment from the football program, he has seen backlash from the play.

Blackburn says that he’s received death threats from Colorado fans since Saturday.

It’s been reported that Hunter will miss 3-4 weeks of action after suffering a lacerated liver. He attempted to continue playing on Saturday night but was eventually taken off the field.

Micah Parsons is the latest to chime in as he blasted Blackburn for his “malicious intent.”

“That was so malicious and dirty. I thought that guy should’ve gotten ejected,” the linebacker said. “That was something that you hate to see in football. If you watch this, the ball is down… the fact that he went around his own player and hit Travis Hunter, that is malicious intent and super dirty.

“This guy doesn’t deserve to be in any football league.”

It’s an opinion that’s shared by many around college football, but the worst part of the situation is that Hunter will be out of action for a month. The two-way player had gotten off to an incredible start to the season, hauling in 16 passes for 213 yards while also picking off a pass and recording nine tackles.

He seemed to be in good spirits on Monday.

Colorado will try to win without him as they kick off PAC 12 play. The Buffs will face Oregon this weekend before hosting USC to end the month of September.
