Michael Block was the story of the golf world for two weeks earlier this year. The club pro not only made the PGA Championship field back in May, but he played near the top of the leaderboard up through his final day.
Block was in the top 10 ahead of his Sunday round, giving him an opportunity to pair up with superstar Rory McIlroy.
While he wasn’t able to win the event, his legend grew over that weekend. Not only did he nail a hole-in-one, but an impressive up-and-down on the final hole allowed him to finish the tournament in the top 15.
That placing landed an automatic invite to next year’s PGA Championship.
He’d later receive an invite to the Charles Schwab Challenge the following week, and while he didn’t perform to the same standard, he still wowed with some incredible shots.
The Cinderella story died down after that two-week run, but he’s not quite ready for his 15 minutes of fame to run out. Recently, Block was seen golfing with DJ Khaled, and again, he had his audience in awe.
The golf pro holed a difficult chip shot from the rough leading to an incredible reaction from his playing partner.

DJ Khaled was so shocked that he leapt into the arms of Michael Block before letting out a few “Let’s go’s” on the course.
Those who’d previously heard Block’s comments about his short game probably weren’t surprised, but the shot was impressive, nonetheless.

“How do his 15 minutes of fame keep getting extended?” another follower asked.
“DJ Khaled is the ultimate hype man,” this fan said after seeing the Michael Block clip.
The pro showed he still has it. Hopefully, we’ll see some shots like this come PGA Championship time next year.
