After opening his ‘I Promise” school in Akron, Ohio last week, NBA superstar LeBron James sat down with CNN’s Don Lemon and talked about how President Trump was using sports to divide this country.
“I think athletics are important, but also their mind. When you’re part of sports, it just brings so much camaraderie and so much fun. We are in a position right now, in America, more importantly, where this whole race thing has taken over. One, because I believe our president is kinda trying to divide us. He is. I don’t want to say kinda. He’s dividing us, and what I’ve noticed over the last few months is that he’s kind of used sport to kind of divide us.”
LeBron later went on to say that he would never sit in front of Trump if given the opportunity.

Last night, the President attacked LeBron on Twitter by insulting his intelligence and weighing in on the whole LeBron-Jordan debate.
Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon. He made Lebron look smart, which isn’t easy to do. I like Mike!

NBA legend Michael Jordan, who has been well known to steer clear of politics, responded to the President’s tweet and showed support for LeBron.
Charlotte Hornets owner Michael Jordan’s official statement, via spokesperson, in wake of Donald Trump tweet referencing him and LeBron James: “I support LJ. He’s doing an amazing job for his community.”

Can’t wait to see how President Trump responds to Jordan’s comments.
