The Lamar Jackson situation might just be at a standstill right now.

All things considered, the lack of attention Jackson has received this offseason is still a bit shocking.

Of course, the Baltimore Ravens can match any offer made to its star quarterback. That might be part of the reason why nobody is making offers.

Even so, he’s a superstar-caliber player that would be an upgrade for most teams across the league.

With that in mind, ESPN’s Mike Greenberg rips NFL teams for not pursuing Lamar Jackson.

During a guest appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Greenberg explains why he doesn’t understand the thought process behind some of these NFL teams.

Mike Greenberg makes some solid points. Lamar Jackson is a safer bet than any of the rookie quarterbacks available this year. Even with some of his injury concerns.

But obviously, finances are keeping teams at bay. The amount of guaranteed money Lamar Jackson is asking for has basically scared teams away from making an offer.

Regardless, he’s still a superstar quarterback who hasn’t even reached his prime yet. Giving two first-round picks for that type of player usually would be a no-brainer move.

However, Lamar Jackson isn’t really budging much on his contract demands.

The Ravens’ most recent move to acquire Odell Beckham Jr. may signal what’s in store for Jackson’s future.

With that said, we likely won’t have a clear answer on Lamar Jackson for several more weeks. Maybe the NFL Draft will provide more clarity.

If not, then this is going to be a long summer for the Ravens.
