The Tennessee Titans shocked the NFL world on Sunday after signing DeAndre Hopkins to a two-year deal.
Many believed he would’ve ended up with the New England Patriots and there were some rumors he was waiting on the Kansas City Chiefs to make an offer.
Instead, the Titans pulled a rabbit out of the hat and acquired the superstar wide receiver.
Almost immediately after the news broke, head coach Mike Vrabel was asked about the Titans signing DeAndre Hopkins.
He was out golfing with Pat McAfee and Vrabel was clearly in a great mood. But listen to what he had to say, as apparently he knew this signing was going to happen well before everyone else.

Overall, this is big news for the Titans and they should be viewed as playoff contenders alongside the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Luckily for both of these teams, the AFC South isn’t in that great of a situation right now. But at the moment, they should be viewed as the favorites of the division.
DeAndre Hopkins has experience with Mike Vrabel, as they were together on the Houston Texans when Vrabel was the defensive coordinator.
So, it makes sense why he opted to sign with the Titans, as there’s a familiarity there with the head coach.
With that said, it’s cool to see Vrabel excited about the signing. Especially at this point in the offseason. Hopkins will be available for all of training camp to get up to speed for the upcoming season.
But no matter how you look at it, the Titans’ playoff chances just vastly improved.
