Virginia Tech fans answered the call for a bowl game matchup against Tulane. Hokie Nation showed up and showed out for the Military Bowl appearance in hopes of taking down a 10-win Green Wave team.

Fans enjoyed an entertaining contest on the field as the college football contest was competitive throughout. They also found a way to have some fun during breaks in the action.

Playing in nearby Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Tech fans made the drive into Maryland to watch their Hokies one last time in the 2023 campaign.

After missing out on the postseason last year, Virginia Tech faced a 10-2 Tulane team that excelled at the Group of Five level this season.

Hokies supporters came out in droves to cheer their squad on.

The large majority of attendees donned the maroon and burnt orange, and they let themselves be heard early and often.

Those fans would later go viral for their off-field shenanigans during pauses in play.

Hokies supporters were enjoying the on-field action watching their team jump out to a two-score second half lead over Tulane, but they also found a way to fill their downtime.

A number of VT fans were spotted slipping down a muddy hill as rain fell down throughout the game.

More than a few adult beverages were likely involved in that decision-making.

It’s just the latest off-the-wall scene experienced this bowl season, which provided a “Mayonnaise Combine” and beer-guzzling contest this week, alone.

The Christmas holiday has officially passed but bowl season is the gift that keeps giving!
