One of the more interesting sideshows to watch at Major League Baseball games is when a foul ball travels into the stands. You never know what is going to happen when it does and every now and then something great occurs.

That was certainly the case Wednesday night at the sparsely attended Florida Marlins and Arizona Diamondbacks game.

There may have been 42,212 empty seats at the game at Chase Field in Phoenix, but one fan made it memorable when he used a unique method of catching a foul ball.

No need for a baseball glove here. Instead, when the fan saw a foul ball heading his way he just used his big box of popcorn to corral it out of the air.

Baseball fans on the internet loved the fan’s quick thinking and his skills in snagging the ball with his popcorn bucket.
