Nate Diaz Celebrated Election Night By Smoking A UUUUGE Joint

The Diaz brothers love their whacky tobaccy. Last September, Nate’s older brother Nick was originally suspended for five years and fined $165,000 at a commission meeting after allegedly testing positive for marijuana for the third time in the state of Nevada. The public made a huge stink of this, so much so that a petition amassed 100,000 signatures and received a response from the White House. Diaz’s suspension got reduced from five years to 18 months and his fine got reduced from $165,000 to $100,000. He’ll be eligible to return to action as early as August 1, 2016.

Weed is considered  a “specified substance” by the UFC anti-doping policy. It’s not an anabolic or hormonal agent, but it is still prohibited in certain cases, like in-competition.

Nate Diaz almost got pinched after his UFC 202 loss to Conor McGregor for ripping a vape pen at the post-fight press conference. He claimed it was “CBD” and “helps with the healing process and inflammation.”

And then there was that time when he Snapchatted a fat sack of that sticky just a few weeks later.

Don’t forget about the bong. Just for decoration of course.

Don’t change Diaz brothers. Keep puffin.

Matt’s love of writing was born during a sixth grade assembly when it was announced that his essay titled “Why Drugs Are Bad” had taken first prize in D.A.R.E.’s grade-wide contest. The anti-drug people gave him a $50 savings bond for his brave contribution to crime-fighting, and upon the bond’s maturity 10 years later, he used it to buy his very first bag of marijuana.
