NBA Fans React To LeBron James Sitting Alone At The End Of The Bench During Worst Blowout Of His Career

LeBron James and the Lakers suffered a humiliating 42-point loss to the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday night, marking the worst loss of James’ 16-year NBA career.

The irony is that head coach Luke Walton was all jazzed up for his team’s performance. He said before the game:

“This is a big game for us. Our guys are locked in. They know that this is the only thing that matters right now is the game we’re getting ready to play.”

The Lakers are now 7-13 in their last 20 games, 18 of those games were without LeBron, who was recovering from a left groin strain. In that period, the Lakers fell from fourth place in the Western Conference to 10th.  As it stands today, Los Angeles’ record is an underwhelming 27-27.

During the blowout, an image of LeBron James sitting at the very end of the bench with three seats between him and his closest teammate went viral. There were people saying that the fuss was unwarranted because LeBron always sits at the end of the bench in a special padded seat and the three bench players next to him all subbed in at the same time, so it was more of a timing thing than a statement.

Regardless, when you consider we’re just hours away from the trade deadline and the never-ending Anthony Davis trade talks loom above the entire lackluster roster, it’s impossible to believe that LeBron isn’t cleaning out their lockers himself.

The photo produced some re-works from NBA Twitter that were thoroughly enjoyable.

I am grabbing a large popcorn and refreshing NBA Twitter before the trade deadline.
