TV viewers of Saturday’s Michigan-Notre Dame game on NBC were not fan’s of the network’s new graphic.
On Saturday, NBC debuted a yellow down and distance box at the bottom of the screen which annoyed the shit of fans because they confused it for the customary yellow penalty flag graphic that is widely used during football broadcasts.

Why would @nbc have the down and yardage in yellow? Makes it look like there is a flag on every play. @NBCSports pic.twitter.com/F4mzd3n2RY

Anyone else think there is a flag on every play because of the yellow box NBC is using? #NotreDame #Michigan @NBCSports pic.twitter.com/Y9Yh4imCEX

Hatin’ the yellow background on the down & distance box, NBC…. every play I look up I think there’s a flag on the play

Now just get rid of the yellow box on the bottom. You’d think there’s a flag on every play.
