Only eight top-100 prospects in the college football recruiting Class of 2024 remain uncommitted and Nebraska is going all-out to land offensive lineman Grant Brix. The Cornhuskers made quite the splash at his school on Wednesday.

Brix, a 6-foot-6, 290-pound tackle, is undecided on where he will play next season. Kansas State, Alabama and Oklahoma are most prominently in the mix, but he has 24 scholarship offers in total.

Watching him maul opponents in the trenches is a treat. Seeing him get downfield in the run game is a joy to watch.

Brix will provide an immediate talent and size boost to the offensive line room at whatever school he chooses. Nebraska and head coach Matt Rhule hope that he will land in Lincoln.

Recruiting has always been the most chaotic part of college football. Schools have always gone above and beyond to convince their top targets to choose their program.

However, in the era of social media, image is more important than ever. Going big is no longer a luxury. It’s a requirement.

The bigger the display, the more viral it goes online. That’s a big part of the process in the modern era.

Perhaps more importantly, though, is what a grand gesture might say about interest. If a school goes above and beyond to make a statement, it might show that it cares more about the recruit.

Something like that.

Nebraska certainly made itself heard with its most recent move.

The Cornhuskers are at home this weekend, so they don’t need their equipment truck to travel. Instead of hitting the road to its next destination, it made a stop at Logan Magnolia High School.

Located about 90 miles northeast of campus, Logan Magnolia is home to Grant Brix. Nebraska wanted to get his attention.

Can you imagine pulling up to school at 7/8am, half-asleep, and seeing… the Nebraska football truck just sitting there for… YOU? It would be hard not to get the message!
