New Caleb Williams Criticism Arises And It’s Perhaps The Stupidest One Yet

By now, you’d think we’ve heard just about any and every criticism of potential NFL Draft No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams.

Apparently, that’s the case.

Williams is under the microscope as much as many any prospect of all-time, and that continued Wednesday in the dumbest possible fashion.

The former USC star attended his alma mater’s second-round game in the NCAA Women’s Tournament. While there, he was spotted on camera with a pink phone and pink painted nails.

This was too much for the manly men of Twitter, who immediately had a very public and very embarrassing meltdown.

Of course, none of these big, strong dudes would ever make it through a game in the NFL with their bodies turning to complete dust.

But yes, the color pink is an issue.

Thankfully, former Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III was around to talk some sense into people.

Let Caleb Williams be Caleb Williams. Ain’t nothing wrong with him wearing pink fingernail polish and having a pink phone case. Quite frankly, if he goes to Chicago then Bears’ fans should be rocking whatever he is. Stop the hate and accept him for who he is,” Griffin tweeted.

There has been plenty of stupid criticism surrounding Williams.

From the nail polish, to his decision not to participate in the workout portion of the NFL Combine, the complaints are seemingly never-ended.

But one thing that isn’t questionable is Williams’ talent.

The 2022 Heisman Trophy winner is an elite quarterback, with all the physical tools needed to carry an NFL franchise to a Super Bowl.

Those types of guys don’t come around often.

Could the Chicago Bears talk themselves into someone else?

Sure. It’s seemingly a very good quarterback class.

But there’s also every bit of the chance they never live down being the team that passed on Caleb Williams.
