New York Jets fans – once again – had nothing to cheer about against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Well, they had plenty to cheer about until a Hail Mary cost the team their first win of the season.

The 46-yard touchdown pass from Derek Carr to Henry Ruggs with five seconds left gave the Raiders a 31-28 win at MetLife Stadium.

Fans cheered that moment anyway because the moment was incredibly on-brand for the franchise.

One person who wasn’t laughing, clapping, or celebrating ironically was the bettor who probably lost his mind after the last-second touchdown cost him over $6,250.

Ben Fawkes, VP of Digital Content at @VSiNLive explained, “One bettor at @FDSportsbook had a $25 wager on the Jets to get their first win today against the Raiders at 250-1 odds. Bet was placed on Sept. 8 and would’ve won $6,250. Raiders win 31-28 on miracle late TD.”

Meanwhile, fans want the NFL to investigate the possibility that the team blew the game on purpose to secure the #1 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Even Boomer Esiason and Emmanuel Acho think the Jets tanked on purpose.

There’s no way Adam Gase can remain the Jets head coach after today’s loss, but he probably will, because LOLJets.
