Last week, I brought you the story of Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm creator Larry David being laughed off the phone by former New York Jets general manager Mike Maccagnan after he suggested that the team draft future league MVP Lamar Jackson.

When sharing the article to my Twitter account later in the day, I wrote that I harbor more resentment for the New York Jets than the New York Mets, which is really sayin’ something. You know those “chaotic good” memes? That is where the difference between the two moribund franchises lie.

You see, the Mets are neutral evil — they’re shambolic, but they’re the Mets, they’re supposed to be shambolic — in fact, it’s almost endearing. And hell, they’ve actually won a championship within the last generation.

But the Jets, you see, the Jets are chaotic evil. When it comes to the Jets, it’s almost as if they go out of their way to make their fans’ lives miserable. Hiring a head coach who looks like he’s addicted to bath salts. Trading for Le’Veon Bell and then realizing they don’t actually want him. Sam Darnold getting mono. The list goes on and on.

Their brief endeavor into TikTok is a perfect example of that notion, as the Jets quite literally went out of their way to make themselves look absolutely ridiculous by posting what could only be described as a questionable video at best.

There are dozens of questions that need to be asked, and folks, I won’t be asking any of them, because unlike the New York Jets, I know how to quit while I’m ahead and just walk away from the phone.
