This week, it seemed like we were getting closer to Aaron Rodgers making a return to the Green Bay Packers next season. They hired one of this favorite coaches as their QB coach and previous reports had said that they were already meeting with Rodgers about personnel.

It seems his return still might not be happening. According to NFL analyst Chris Simms, we should still expect to see Rodgers leave Green Bay. On the “Brother from Another” podcast, he also revealed who we should expect to see him play for next season.

“People that I know that are in the know seem to think he’s going to leave Green Bay. So, that’s where I’m leaning there. I don’t think there’s any way he gets traded within the NFC. Matt LaFleur’s not going to want to trade Aaron Rodgers to San Francisco and watch his buddy Kyle Shanahan go to the Super Bowl with him and then everybody go, ‘why can he get there with him and you can’t?’ So I don’t see that happening. I don’t see Tampa happening for the same reason.”

“I think the Denver Broncos would be the place in the AFC if you made me put money down. So that would be the No. 1 team I would throw out there if you made me best money.”

If Rodgers does end up leaving the Packers, this would be a move that would make a lot of sense for him. The Broncos already have a strong defense and weapons on offense. They managed to win 7 games last year with a combination of Drew Lock and Teddy Bridgewater at quarterback.

They also currently have the 5th most available cap space for next season. Aaron Rodgers would be enough to make this team a Super Bowl contender by himself. The fact that they could then add more pieces for them makes this a terrifying possibility.

The Packers are going to put up a fight to keep their star quarterback, but if he still plans on leaving, he could make the Denver Broncos a very dangerous team.
