NFL Fans Believe Raiders QB Jimmy Garoppolo Got Suspended For The Stupidest Reason

Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo was suspended for two games by the NFL on Friday.

The official explanation was that Garoppolo violated the league’s performance-enhancing substances policy.

But fans believe there’s a much, much more ridiculous reason for the NFL to sideline Garoppolo.

He’s just too dang handsome…

Seriously, droves and droves of fans suggested that this could be the reason for Garoppolo’s suspension.

Two-Game Suspension Adds To The Legend Of Jimmy Garoppolo

Garoppolo’s NFL career has been plenty lucrative. But he hasn’t exactly produced with on-field results beyond reaching the Super Bowl with the San Francisco 49ers in 2020. And even that is generally attributed to the coaching genius of Kyle Shanahan.

But off the field, Jimmy G has had plenty of success.

Which is why Stephen A. Smith gave him a unique nickname at the start of the 2023 NFL season.

“First of all, let’s understand who Jimmy Garoppolo is,” Smith said of Garoppolo. “He’s a d— good quarterback when he’s playing, but it’s rare that he plays. He spends more time in an infirmary than on a football field, some would argue. Okay, if he ain’t doing that, he’s with p— stars on Melrose Place in California.”

“That happened one time,” Smith’s co-host Kimberley Martin responded referring to Jimmy G’s date with Kiara Mia in 2018.

“Okay, I’ll tell you right there, that you know of,” Smith shot back. “I happen to know a little bit more than that. That’s why I call him p— star Jimmy.”

Well then.

The suspension comes with serious financial implications as well.

Adam Schefter reports that the Raiders will now release the quarterback, costing him an $11.25 million roster bonus that would have kicked in next month. That money would have been guaranteed had it not been for the suspension.
