We still have the (1-0) Saints-Raiders (1-0) on Monday Night Football to wrap up Week 2 of the NFL season and that means there’s still A LOT of time and opportunity left for gamblers to win or lose big, but with only one game left we can take a look back at this week’s biggest bets.
Las Vegas and the nation’s other sportsbooks got hit pretty hard in Week 2 as the favorites came up big on the money line despite a handful not covering the spread. That Chiefs win alone is said to have caused a ‘seven figure’ swing against the house.

The biggest bet/win of the week was one ballsy gambler who took the Seahawks at -4 over the Patriots and wagered $450,000. They won $375,000 at BETMGM on that and cashed for a total of $825,00 with net $375K. The game was still within 4-points in the 3rd quarter when the Pats kicked a FG to go up 17-14 and the Seahawks responded with TD to go up 17-21 but the Seahawks would score another TD in the 3rd to go up 17-28 and the spread was never jeopardized after that.
The biggest bet of the day comes in from @betmgm: A bettor takes Seahawks -4 for $450,000.

Only one ‘underdog’ won when the Rams (+1.5) smacked the Eagles 37-19. This led to the sportsbooks taking some huge hits on parlays. Thankfully for the ‘books, the favorites for 6-7 against the spread. Chiefs, Steelers, Bills, Bears, Titans and Cowboys didn’t cover but all won their games. The Cowboys didn’t lead the Falcons for a single second in that game and NFL teams were 440-0 all-time (since 1933) when scoring 39 points with 0 turnovers until the Cowboys mounted their miraculous comeback. 77% of the money in that game was on the Cowboys at -3 so that was a solid swing for the books.
The Saints have won AND covered the spread in their past 7 road games. They face the Raiders at 6-point favorites after initially opening as 4-point favorites but that line has since moved.
